APPLE TRACK & FIELD SYSTEMS

NOTICE: APPLE Landing Pits are manufactured for use solely as apparatus dismounts, pole vaulting and high jumping. When assembled correctly, and used properly, they provide a safer environment to the athlete who lands correctly and in the normal position. The user assumes all responsibility for injury or damage caused by incorrect landing, stalling, colliding with, or incorrect approach of the landing pit or any attachments or apparatuses.

WE SUGGEST:
1. Every athlete be trained in basic techniques prior to active participation.
2. The athlete be instructed and supervised by a competent instructor.
3. The Pit and Standards be checked before each vault or jump to see that they are properly assembled and positioned.
4. Do not attempt vaulting height beyond vaulter's ability or level of training.
5. Abuse and misuse of this equipment can and will result in injury.

We have made every effort to design equipment which will provide the maximum of safety for the user, however, we cannot guarantee freedom from injury. THE USER OF THIS EQUIPMENT assumes all responsibility for injuries incurred from the use of this equipment.

SPECIFICATIONS
1. Every Pit Cover is constructed from the highest quality skid resistant 19oz. vinyl coated polyester. This superior fabric assures long service life.
2. All Pole Vault and High Jump Pits are fitted with highest quality Breather Mesh which allows unrestricted and uniform air flow, while also preventing "Ballooning". The Apple Breather Mesh has been proven under test to resist 12.7mm pin spikes under outdoor conditions.
3. Apple Pole Vault and High Jump Pits are designed to provide the greatest resilience, correlated to safety and optimum performance. Pre-crushed virgin Polyurethane foam is used for extended life. A unique honeycomb lattice structure is employed to ensure maximum safety to the athlete upon landing. A variable air cavity size, and foam density formula are provided to facilitate a high level of safety in deceleration upon landing. Fire-retardant foam available upon request.
4. Convenient carrying handles are standard on all Jump Pits. Double-stitched vinyl handles, internally reinforced are attached to the front and back side of each Pit Module.
5. Top Covers are 2" thick. Each is manufactured with individual zippered pockets, designed to allow replacement of foam on location, eliminating the necessity of shipping back to factory for reconditioning.
6. Double-stitched seams are used throughout Apple products. This double-stitching is protected from wear and abrasion by being located on the inside.
7. To prevent fraying of the open edges of the breather surface, all edges are sewn double-turned.
8. Specially engineered high tensile strength thread is used exclusively on all Apple products.
9. Industrial quality all-weather nylon zippers have been selected as the standard for all Apple Pits.
10. Velcro/Vinyl covered automotive seatbelt straps are used in conjunction with tuck loops. This method provides a quicker Pit to Pit connection.
11. `D' Rings are located on the sides of all Apple Jump Pits to ensure a hazard-free top surface.
12. The `D' Rings are also available attached to the corners and the centers of the module base of complete systems for use in exterior applications, or for attaching weather covers.
13. Apple Pole Vault Pits incorporate the latest configuration features in their design. The radius taper in the cut-out is an example. In field tests the loss of flex energy caused by the pole touching the side of the landing pit was eliminated when the radius-taper cut-out was introduced.
14. Easy moving and storage are features of the Apple modules and systems. Light in weight and convenient to handle, every Apple product will give the greatest value and service.
15. Standard available color sequences are: Red Vinyl on Red Breather, or Blue Vinyl on Red Breather. Other colors available to special order.
16. All Apple Jump Pits carry a full warranty against defective materials and workmanship, for a period of two years from date of shipment.

Designed for safety and convenience, our new pad fits snugly around standard bases, but allows for a full range of adjustment. The two-piece unit easily unbuckles for full access to the base. Pads for other models are available.
